First I want to
thank God
for the many blessings He’s given
me, of which the production of this CD is one more.
A special thanks to my wife, DiAnne, this Canadian
whom I met in Puerto Rico 15 years ago, and with whom I fell in love and
decided to share my life. We moved to
Canada in October of 1995. She is the one who always
encouraged me to work at something I loved, and that I could do this. I’m thankful to her for all her support, both emotional,
spiritual, and economic.
I must also tell you about my father, “El Indio Araucano”,
a famous singer – not just because I say he is, but because both the press,
media and general public who knew him and enjoyed his music would agree with me.
Some of the countries in which he triumphed and was a great idol are
Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Cuba – where he
enjoyed tremendous success during the decade of 1950-1960, along with Daniel
Santos, Leo Marini, and admired and recognized by Jose Luis Rodriguez “El
Puma”. Space would fail me to
name you many of his other friends who shared in his gypsy spirit, such as Boby
Capo, and Marco Antonio Muñiz. Special thanks to my great friends:
I would also like to mention Eduardo Olivares of the Spanish radio program heard daily on 96.1 FM, “Latino Soy”, for all his help when I had recently arrived in Vancouver. Osvaldo Del Mar Productionswww.osvaldodelmar.comSend mail to dgbusiness@shaw.ca
